The Brief
CENDRÉ, an Australian watch and jewellery brand, approached Sonique Studio to find a still life photographer for their brand content. Working from a shot-by-shot creative brief developed by CENDRÉ's in-house team, we photographed their signature rectangular bangle watches and their range of jewellery cases.
The Approach
Each watch image pairs the piece with a single considered object or surface. A gold bangle watch wraps around an open CENDRÉ matchbox. A silver style rests on a chrome cup and saucer against black. Gold and silver watches are stacked on warm beige. Lighting was shaped to bring out the polished metal, the clean white dials and the fine detail of each case. The jewellery cases, in croc, dalmatian, zebra, suede and timber finishes, were shot both stacked and open, with watches, rings and necklaces arranged inside and soft natural shadow to keep a true still life feel.
What we did
Still life photography, lighting, styling and retouching, shot at our Sydney studio, with final images delivered within a week of the shoot.
