RMK SKINCARE Content Shoot 2025

 Photography, set design, prop styling

The Idea
A personal still life study built around RMK, the Japanese beauty brand known for its soft, pared-back design. I wanted to explore how a quiet, minimal product can hold its own against organic, imperfect textures without losing its sense of calm.

The Concept
The series pairs RMK's blush-pink and nude packaging with natural and handmade forms: oyster mushrooms, speckled quail eggs, hand-sculpted clay plinths and stacked ceramic rings. Texture shots let the formulas become sculptures in their own right, with soft peaks of pink primer and foundation swatches resting on the cap. The palette stays within warm neutrals, cream and blush, echoing the brand's own restraint.

The Process
Developed across several studio sessions in 2025, the series moves between clean, minimal compositions on white and grey and more styled, layered sets, including a shelf vignette combining the full range with clay sculptures and mushrooms and a backlit silhouette study on glass that reduces the bottles to pure form.

What I did
Concept, art direction, set design, prop styling, hand-sculpted props, still life photography and retouching, all in-house at Sonique Studio in Sydney.
